I agree very largely with you Rob. I think the biggest problem with Marvel since End game has been the ignoring of already established major events. There are countless stories that can be adapted to movies with so much great history and complexity that they could make 100+ more movies. The introduction of new characters without a larger history is an aspect that has taken such a large foothold in the Marvel universe that the good stories have drowned under it. Some of the larger plot lines that I would like to see in the future are: Age of Apocalypse, Planet Hulk, Secret wars, Spiderman clone saga and Avengers vs. X-Men

Only thing they need to do is only focus on 2 story lines or so. Only thing I’m seeing people who don’t think this was very good is the amount they stuffed into one season and how much they had to rush through.

I must be honest they have surprised me on the art and animation side. America has amazing artist and amazing 3D artist but terrible traditional animators and animation houses. They've done great with What If and X-Men 97, so I'm hoping they can keep it while maintaining the Marvel Comic style

The original Onslaught was one of my favorite runs. I still say they should have treated the MCU as the heros reborn world to reintroduce mutants and FF to the live action movies.

I hate how much of a whirlwind they made X-Men 97. They just blitzed through so many characters and plot points I was watching a VHS on FFD (Or a UA-cam video on 10x speed). I really wish they had taken time to provide better character development. I've been a fan since the 80's so I could track, but everyone I showed the Disney+ show to that wasn't already a fan thought it was full of action but not very good. Also I am surprised anyone saw Endgame as anything more than several cameos strung on and on and on interminably. There was what, 30 minutes of story in there? 35?

All that matters is quality. Hiring people who know what they're doing & love the content is about all that can be done. ... From there, it's on Fiege.

I am convinced Beau Demayo's involvement with 97 is the reason it's as good as it is. ya know, not writing characters with dumbass quips every 2 seconds that talk like actual people with real needs, desires, wants and motivations...

It’s simple 1) don’t make it a wolverine show 2) make it a cyclops story 3) from hero to villain 4) make everyone else appear from cyclops perspective-mutants, heroes to the phoenix. 5) make other mutant movies like magneto and cross ever 6) lead to averagers style movies with the xmen

This constant negativity about everything marvel does these days gets so old. Pretty soon the marvel fan base is going to be as bad as the star wars fans. Hating everything irrationally

I worry that Marvel thinks that X-Men 97 is successful because of the nostalgia factor, when the real reason it was so successful is because it is earnest and not ashamed of what it is, and so much of superhero media is ashamed to be superhero media, so it was like a breath of fresh air.

I think Feige will get it right since his career started with the X-Men and we have all the stories of him smuggling comics onto the set for actors because he felt they were that important to understand the core of the characters. I think MCU X-Men will cover the original themes that have always bee present in the comics, the same things that will make the heads spin of people who use the word "woke" unironically. I think Feige understands how critical the story of "the other" is to the overall concept and impact of the X-Men and mutants. It is the oppressed, minorities, and those who are targeted simply for being who they are that these stories have always centered around and what gave mutants that extra layer of impact and importance that grew such a large fanbase of people who also felt like outsiders at one point of time or another. That overarching concept of "otherness" plus the concepts of found family and fighting not for truth, justice, and the American way, but fighting for the simple right to exist are the most powerful concepts in the X-mythos. I know Disney and Marvel don't have the guts to give us a full and faithful adaptation of "God Loves, Man Kills," but I also don't think for a minute the MCU X-films will be reduced to simple superhero films, or at least I hope not as it would be a real tragedy to see such important work in the comic media get reduced to the same schlock as the worst of the DCEU or Sony's non-animated Spider-trash.

The only thing i wonder about this is if the lost one has reabsorbed this many beyonders at this point why couldn't he manifest a more capable vessel to open up his potential?

Not sure how they would do some of this with things like budgets and schedules. I mean, you can include things like shields and hammers as easter eggs, but to actually do those story lines means you need to pay that actor to be in the movie (and the actor has to be available and willing to do it). It also feels like they've been doing the easter egg thing, so I am not sure why Rob things they havent been doing that (but I do agree that the recent phases havent felt as connected as the previous ones).

I personally think disney should recognize that they didn't shit all over the source material and it turned out great. Funny how that works

Every once a while, something happens to you that makes you realise ''You haven't seen everything there is to see''. Arcane, Blue Eye Samurai, Invincible are classic examples of what's to come. X Men '97 is another level of WOW! What makes the show unforgettable? Marvel stepped up. They did not disappoint...I'm seriously looking forward to season 2. Television may be dead these days but show is a reminder there are some signs of life here and there.

They need to be self contained like dc. They can make the maximoff twins magneto children in one reality and with a different parent in another.

I want to see an expert in comics who is neutral, make a scenario where you put top 3 most powerful or perhaps top 4. So my opinion you want Superman, Batman, Swamp Thing and the Flash. Anyways put them against a number of Marvel Heroes, and see how many they can defeat. Or perhaps if they can defeat all of marvel with enough prep time for Batman.
